Common questions

Metal fabrication FAQs

Open a question for the relevant technical information.

What is the maximum width of your power roller?

Our power roller has a working width of up to 3500 mm. Suitability also depends on the material, thickness, profile and required radius.

What thickness of mild steel can you roll?

The machine can roll mild steel up to approximately 6 mm thick, subject to material grade, sheet width and the required finished profile.

What is the minimum rolling radius?

The minimum radius is approximately 450 mm. The achievable radius varies according to the material, thickness, width and component shape.

Can you roll box sections?

Yes. Our power roller can form box sections up to approximately 25 mm deep, subject to the complete specification.

Can you manufacture from a drawing?

Yes. We can assess PDF drawings, CAD exports, sketches, photographs and clearly stated dimensions.

Do you accept one-off and trade projects?

Yes. We consider prototypes, one-off components, repeat production and confidential subcontract work for other sign companies and contractors.

Can the metalwork be powder coated?

Yes. Components can be supplied unfinished or completed in a suitable powder-coated or painted finish, including selected RAL colours.

Can you manufacture and install pipe encasements?

Yes. We manufacture bespoke straight sections, corners, end caps and profiles for pipework, cabling and building services. Installation can also be included where appropriate.
